A recent master bathroom renovation in Cedar Park transformed an outdated, builder-grade space into a refined, spa-inspired retreat designed for everyday luxury. The project began with the full removal of a cultured marble shower and oversized garden tub, opening up the room and creating the opportunity for a more functional, visually cohesive layout. In place of the old fixtures, we constructed a fully custom walk-in shower paired with an undermount soaker tub positioned adjacent to it. This thoughtful configuration maximizes both comfort and efficiency, allowing for a seamless transition between bathing spaces while maintaining an open, airy feel. The new soaking tub offers clean, sculptural lines and a deep basin for relaxation, perfectly complementing the custom shower’s modern design. The shower itself was crafted with careful attention to material and layout. Large-format tiles were installed vertically along the lower portion of the shower walls, visually elongating the space and creating a bold architectural statement. Above, classic subway tiles were also set vertically, adding texture and contrast while maintaining a clean, timeless aesthetic. The vertical orientation throughout enhances ceiling height perception and delivers a fresh twist on traditional tile applications. Externally mounted shower fixtures were selected to provide both visual impact and practical performance. Their streamlined profile and precision placement reinforce the bathroom’s contemporary character while offering reliable functionality. The entire shower enclosure is finished with frameless glass, eliminating visual barriers and allowing the tile work and fixtures to take center stage. The result is a bright, open environment that feels significantly larger than the original layout. Complementing the bathing area is a beautifully updated vanity featuring a durable quartz countertop. The quartz surface offers exceptional resilience against moisture and daily wear while delivering a sleek, polished appearance. Its smooth finish and subtle patterning tie together the room’s neutral palette, balancing warmth and sophistication.
